Your purchases help build the
Brooks Library. 30% of the profits go toward purchasing new items
for the library. this year we are working toward earning a Smart Board
for the library and we are only $100 away from our goal!
Once again we
will also be collecting money for One for Books. This program gives 100%
of the profits to the school. Scholastic then matches the amount
we raise and gives away books to needy kids for that dollar amount.
Every penny counts when it means books for kids!

Volunteers and Tutors
Brooks Middle School has some of the BEST
volunteers in Wichita! Coordinated by Joni Hawks, these people regularly
meet with students for tutoring and mentoring. The goal is to help
students make connections with adults and their class work. These
mentors and tutors were recognized at a luncheon on December 15. Band,
orchestra and choir students provided the entertainment for the lunch.
Many of our volunteers attended, including one of our foster
grandparents.
